PowerPivot 2012 SQL Denali CTP3 error during configuration

I’ve had a really strange error during the PowerPivot configuration. The error is:

‘A connection cannot be made to redirector. ensure that sql browser service is running

No Connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:2382’

I first that that it could be a problem that i had a “$” in the password and that the powershell script interprets the $ as a variable but that wasn’t the case.

I tried almost everything to resolve the error but the only thing that worked for me was to run a “repair” SQL 2012 Denali installation and choose the PowerPivot Instance.
